Eyebrow regrowth and hair loss can be taken care of by this amazing oil.

Up till date, hair loss has remained one of the most notable beauty problems encountered by both men and women.

In fact, if you are reading this now, I could guess you’ve seen people with hair loss before or you are currently experiencing it–Hair thinning, balding or receding hairlines.

Hair fall doesn’t just come with aging but can be experienced even in younger age because it could be triggered by different factors–genetics, hair care treatment, improper diet, pregnancy and extreme stress– but not limited to these reasons.

When your long lustrous hair that augments your beauty starts falling out in chunk, it hits your confidence too. This is really an embarrassing condition and you don’t have to live with it, there’s a solution

Firstly, there are few hair loss shampoos and hair growth supplements that have been proven to accelerate thicker and longer hair growth, one of the challenges has been where to find them.

The market has been saturated with so many chemical-filled hair products that do not work. They come with great advertising slogans and promises that lure consumers to buying them. In some cases, the situation becomes worse after taking the drugs–you are losing more hair and your money is gone as well. Sometime the toxic ingredients even cause additional damage to the body.

Eyebrows and eyelashes have their share of this unfortunate situation. You want them to be luscious and thick as carwash brushes, but don’t know what treatment to buy.

However, as complex as hair loss may be, nature has the solution; it is cheaper and simpler than you are thinking right now.

Boost Hair Growth With Castor Oil

Castor Oil has a long history of facilitating hair growth and has been used topically to fight hair loss, thinning edges and some skin disorders.

This amazing oil has been used for ages to effectively cure different ailments and its health benefits are recently being rediscovered.

Castor oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the castor oil plant found in the Mediterranean Basin, Eastern Africa, and India.

Its properties include:

  • A rich source of minerals, proteins, and Vitamin E
  • Potent antifungal
  • Antibacterial
  • High amounts of omega-9 fatty acids
  • Anti-inflammatory effect which is similar to capsaicin, but without an increase of blood flow to the applied area.

How Does Castor Oil Stimulate Hair Growth?

The science perspective:

Castor oil helps stimulate healthy levels of hair growth and combat hair loss because; approximately 90 percent of its fatty acid is ricinoleates.

Ricinoleic acid has been reviewed by scientific study to increase the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Note that PGE2 is different from PGD2 – A lipid compound which has been linked to hair loss.

In the study, scalp tissue with high levels of Prostaglandin E2 had healthy hair growth but in balding areas, it was found in much lower levels.

Castor oil having a naturally high level of Ricinoleic acid will increase the production of prostaglandin E2 in your scalp – which could lead to hair re-growth in balding or thinning areas.

More so, omega-9 fatty acid is another composition of castor oil. It enriches the hair and scalp with more nutrients to stimulate the growth of your locks, brows, and lashes. In addition, promote a healthy shiny hair.

Jamaican Black Castor Oil

Castor oil can be extracted using different process which however affects the qualities of the oil. Cold pressed method does not require heat for the oil to be extracted and the oil colour is usually yellow.

Meanwhile Jamaican castor oil is produced by roasting the castor beans before pressing the oil out. This process produces darker coloured oil due to burnt ashes of the castor bean. The ash raises the pH (alkaline) of the oil which is believed to have more clarifying properties that can help open the cuticles.

Where to buy castor oil?

Castor oil can be found in health and super stores. Personally, I prefer to shop online so I can see different brands and compare prices.

Another reason I shop online is to check out the reviews from different people who have used the product before. Doing so shapes my expectation about a product. For example this organic castor oil has over 2,000 reviews and this Jamaican black castor oil has more than 3000 reviews.

  3. Remove any excess oil to avoid entering your eyes. You can do this with a cotton pad or face towel
  4. Leave overnight so your eyebrows get the full benefit from castor oil.
  5. Wash your face in the morning to remove all the castor oil.
  6. Repeat the castor oil eyebrow  regrowth treatment 2-3 times a week until you have thicker, fuller eyebrows.

How To Apply Castor Oil On Hair

You can either use castor oil or Jamaican black castor oil for this treatment. Follow these steps to achieve your goal:

  • Spray water on your hair to dampen it (not wet).
  • Start with a palm-sized amount and massage into your scalp. Do this till your scalp is covered but not saturated with the oil.

Castor Oil With Other Essential Oils

A Combination of Effectiveness:

The combination of castor oil with other essential oils such as rosemary oil, olive oil, Jojoba oil or coconut oil increases the hair growth essential nutrients your hair will receive. Each of these oils is naturally unique:

Rosemary essential oil is known to increase new hair growth over 20%. Rosemary oil also helps to increase circulation in the scalp, and when used with coconut oil can produce fantastic results.

Jojoba oil: Remarkably, Jojoba oil is structurally and chemically very similar to the human sebum – the oils which naturally occur on the scalp. This can actually lead to the generating of more hair follicles. A study done by the University of Maryland on patients with alopecia showed that the use of jojoba oil does in fact generate a significant amount of hair growth.

Coconut oil contains lauric acid which has a high affinity for hair protein, hence protects both the roots and strands of hair from breakage. Meanwhile, its low molecular weight and straight linear chain boost penetration inside the hair shaft. In addition, the natural antioxidants and nutrients (vitamin E, vitamin K and iron) found in coconut oil boosts hair growth and regrowth.

However, castor oil has a higher viscosity than most of the essential oils. This explains why it is t thicker than most essential oils. One way to reduce the thickness during application is to blend it with any of the oils like coconut oil that can easily penetrate into the hair shaft.

How To Apply it:

  • Use equal amount of castor oil and the essential oil of your choice. For example, take 1 tablespoon of castor oil and 1 tablespoon any essential oil of your choice.
  • Mix the oils in a small bowl.
  • Place the small bowl of oil in a bigger bowl of hot water to warm it up for easy application.

Castor oil produces great result but not a quick-fix solution. It’s another natural product that promotes hair growth in a matter of weeks. Your fuller and thicker eyelashes and eyebrow regrowth using this oil will definitely amaze you.
